Visas in Liechtenstein

Principality Liechtenstein is a member of the Schengen Convention. Citizens of Russia for entry on its territory need a visa.

In accordance with the agreement of November 6, 1963. between Switzerland and the principality of Liechtenstein Rules for issuing entry visas in Switzerland apply to all applications for the extradition of entry visas to the Principality of Liechtenstein.
Visas to enter the country are issued in the visa department of the Swiss Embassy in Moscow and the Consulate General in St. Petersburg with the permission of the authorities of the Principality of Liechtenstein. Visas statements are accepted at Switzerland’s visa centers in the territory of the Russian Federation.

Tourist visa (Schengen visa category C)

To obtain a visa, you must provide the following documents:

  • Passport, whose validity period is at least 3 months from the end of the trip. In the passport there must be at least two free pages for incurred visa sticker;
  • photocopy of the first page of the passport with personal tourist data;
  • photocopies of passport pages with two last Schengen visas, if any; filled in English, German, French or Italian and personally signed by the applicant;
  • 2 Color photos of the installed sample, one of which is glued to the questionnaire;
  • copy of the ticket (electronic air ticket, railway ticket and t.NS.), valid for travel to Liechtenstein and back (tickets with an open date are not accepted);
  • A copy of medical insurance valid for the entire stay in Liechtenstein and Schengen countries. Insurance amount should be at least 30,000 euros;
  • Confirmation of the reservation of the hotel or rent an apartment with the name and name of the tourist and the duration of staying in the country, or the Voucher from the Swiss Travel Agency. Originals, fax copies, printouts from Internet sites of international booking systems are accepted. In confirmation, it should be stated that a prepayment is made for the hotel / apartment. If a printout is provided from the Internet, it should contain the name, address and phone number, the name and surname of the applicant, the type of room and the unique booking number;
  • Help with work on the company’s branded letterhead indicating the post, the start date of work, the size of the salary, with the signature of the head and printing of the enterprise. The certificate should also be an indication that the employee for the period of the trip is given a vacation with the preservation of the workplace;
  • Owners and employees of the IP In addition to reference from the place of work, it is also necessary to provide a copy of the certificate of registration of the enterprise and putting it on tax accounting;
  • Students and schoolchildren need to provide a certificate from the place of study with the address and phone numbers of the educational institution, the original and a copy of the student ticket, a letter about the financing of the trip and a certificate from the work of the financing, as well as a copy of the first page of his passport and a document confirming the relationship;
  • Confirmation of the availability of sufficient funds (signed by Travel-Checks – originals and copies, discharge from bank account for operations for the last 3 months) at the rate of 100 Swiss francs per person for every day of stay in the country;
  • Description of the route (for the entire period of stay in Liechtenstein) in English, German, French or Italian.

When traveling on its own car, you must submit to the consulate:

  • a copy of the international driver’s license;
  • a copy of the certificate of registration of the car;
  • Original and a copy of the International Autocarnant Account Insurance Policy (Green Card).

In some cases, the consulate reserves the right to demand additional documents, to transfer presented documents for consideration into the authorities of Liechtenstein or invite the applicant to a consulate for personal conversation.

Guest Visa

To obtain this visa, you must provide the following documents to the consulate:

  • Passport, whose validity period is at least 3 months from the end of the trip. In the passport there must be at least one free page for gluing visa sticker;
  • photocopy of the first page of the passport with personal tourist data;
  • photocopies of passport pages with two last Schengen visas, if any; filled in English, German, French or Italian and personally signed by the applicant;

  • 2 Color photos of the installed sample, one of which is glued to the questionnaire;
  • Original invitations (copies are not considered!) containing the following information:
  1. Name, surname, date of birth and number of passport invited;
  2. The time of stay of the invited in the country;
  3. The nature of the relationship of inviting and invited (related or friendly).

In the event that for some reason the invited cannot provide a document confirming the availability of sufficient financial resources for traveling, or a certificate from work, he must provide "Declaration of guarantee" (provided that all other documents listed in the list are present). This document can be obtained by contacting the Visa Department of the Consulate of Switzerland. The declaration must be sent to Liechtenstein, where the inviting party should fill out and transfer it to the police department for foreign citizens. It should be borne in mind that consideration of the warranty declaration may take up to four weeks.
You can also provide the original invitation in which in addition to the above data, it is indicated that the inviting party agrees to cover all costs associated with the stay of the invited in Liechtenstein, including transportation costs, food costs and accommodation, as well as possible medical expenses.

Ride with children

  • Original and a copy of the child’s birth certificate, a copy should be translated into German, French, Italian or English and notarized;
  • For children under 18, traveling accompanied by one of the parents or third parties, it is necessary to provide the original and a copy of a notarized power of attorney to export a child from the remaining parent (parents) and its translation into German or English; A copy of the first page of the principal passport and a copy of the document confirming the relationship. If one of the parents died either, it is necessary to provide originals and copies of relevant documents (death certificate, certificate from the police or a court decision on the deprivation of parent / her parental rights).

On the children inscribed in the passport of parents, a separate questionnaire is filled, which both parents sign. Also, two photos of the established sample are attached to the application. On children with their own passport, a complete package of documents is provided.

Requirements for photos

  • Photo size 3.5 x 4.5 cm;
  • Clear color image on a light background;
  • The image should occupy about 70% -80% of the picture (from the top to the chin should be at least 25 mm);
  • There should be no ovals, frames and corners;
  • The applicant must be depicted without sunglasses, hats, shawls, except when it is necessary for religious reasons;
  • One photo must be glued to the questionnaire, the second to attach to the application by writing the name and number of the passport on the turnover.

The procedure for applying for a visa

Documents for all types of short-term Schengen visas are accepted at Switzerland’s visa centers in the following cities: in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Sochi, Ufa and Khabarovsk.
In visa centers in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the reception of documents is made by appointment, which is carried out around the clock online on the site of the centers. It is also possible to submit documents in the order of a living queue, but in this case the priority is given to those who have written in advance. In visa centers in other cities, pre-recording is not required. Reception of documents is carried out from Monday to Friday, from 09.00 to 16.00, issuing ready-made visas – from 11.00 to 16.00.
Documents can be submitted personally through accredited travel agency. For close relatives (brothers, sisters, parents, children, spouses) documents can file family members in the presence of a written permission from the owner of the passport and documents confirming the relationship. The resolution is notarized not, it is not required if the documents submits one of the spouses for the second or parents for minor children. Deadline for Visa

The term of consideration of visa applications in the visa department of the Swiss Embassy in Moscow and at the Consulate General of Switzerland in St. Petersburg is at least 3 business days from the date of payment of the consular fee.
When submitting applications through visa centers in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the term of consideration is 5 days, including the day of filing. Duration of Visa

Consular fee

Consular fee for all types of short-term Schengen visas for applicants older than 6 years is 35 euros. Children from the payment of the consular fee are liberated by children under the age of six and children under the age of 16, if they are inscribed in the passport of parents, people with disabilities and their accompanying persons.

When submitting applications in visa centers, the fee is paid in rubles (1480 rubles) at the Center Cass. In the Consulate General in St. Petersburg, the payment of visa collection is made in rubles at the consulate simultaneously with the submission of documents. Plastic cards and foreign currency are not accepted.
