Visas in Malta

Citizens of Russia, traveling to Malta, required visa. Malta is part of the countries – participants of the Schengen Agreement. Short-term Schengen Category Visa

This type of visas is issued to persons whose goal is tourism, visiting friends or relatives, business visit, transit through the territory of Malta in third countries. Documents required for obtaining a visa:

  • Passport, whose validity period is at least three months from the end of the trip. In the passport must be at least two free pages for visa incurring;
  • 2 recent color photographs with a size of 3.5 x 4.5 cm without corners and oval, on a light background; filled in English and signed by the applicant personally. The questionnaire should be filling out on a computer or from hand with printed letters with blue or black handle;
  • If there are Schengen visas in the previous passport – photocopy of these visas;
  • Documents confirming accommodation in Malta and their copies:
  • Confirmation of the hotel (fax or letter sent by email) with the applicant’s personal data, the timing of its trip, addresses, phone, fax of the hotel and its print, and, desirable, with the signature of the responsible booking of the manager. A visa-free transit

Since Malta does not recognize the results of the Crimean referendum, the inhabitants of the Crimea should apply for visas to the Spanish Embassy in Kiev, representing the interests of the state in Ukraine.

Ride with children

  • Photo size 3.5 x 4.5 cm;

Document reception hours

Reception of documents in visa centers is carried out from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 16.00, issuance – from Monday to Friday, from 11.00 to 16.00. Exceptions are VTS in Murmansk, Perm and Saratov – there is a reception of documents and the issuance of finished visas is carried out to 17.00.

Valid term of a visa

As a rule, the Consulate of Malta is issued single Schengen visas, the validity of which does not exceed 1 month. Duration of stay complies with the dates specified in the hotel’s hotel or invitation.

The cost of a Schengen visa consists of a visa collection of 35 euros (2,400 rubles) and the service collection of the MC – 1536 rubles. In case of failure in a visa, fees are not returned.

The following categories of citizens were liberated from the consular fee;

Service collection will be charged in all cases.

Special registration cards are issued on the plane to be filled with each entering, including children included in the parental passport.

Acting visa in an annulled passport

In case, in an annulled passport (its expired, the period of its action, or the passport is spoiled) there is a Schengen visa, the validity of which has not yet expired, it will also be considered invalid. The owner of the passport must be issued a new visa in the consulate, providing a valid passport, an old passport with Schengen visas and a complete package of documents on the selected visa category. The procedure for transferring a visa from the old passport to the new is not provided.
